CUHK claims eight medals at East Asian U20 Athletics Championships

Young athletes from seven countries and regions competed at the second East Asian U20 Athletics Championships held in Hong Kong from 27 to 28 September. A squad of twelve athletes from CUHK gave their all on the track. CUHK athletes secured an impressive haul of eight bronze medals across six women’s events and two men’s events.

The bronze medal winners of the women’s events from CUHK are:

The East Asian U20 Athletics Championships is the region’s flagship youth athletics event. Following its inaugural game in Yangzhou, China, in 2023, the second game was staged at Hong Kong Wan Chai Sports Ground last month. This year’s competitors hailed from the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, Taipei, Mongolia, Japan and South Korea, all competing for regional honours.
