University appointments

New Council Chairman

Prof. Chai Yat-chiu, John (left), a member of the Council, has been appointed as the Chairman of the University Council for a term of three years with effect from 1 May 2022.

Reappointed Council Members

Mr. Simon K.C. Lee has been reelected as a member of the Council for a further period of three years from 16 March 2022.

The Honourable Cheung Yu-yan, the Honourable Lau Kwok-fan and the Honourable Mak Mei-kuen have been reelected as members of the Council for a period of three years from 21 March 2022.

Prof. Shaw Pang-chui has been reelected as a member of the Council for a further period of three years from 23 April 2022.

New University Dean of Students

Prof. Ko Wing-hung (right) of the School of Biomedical Sciences has been appointed as the University Dean of Students for a period from 1 June 2022 to 31 July 2025.

Reappointed Associate Vice-President

Prof. Lee Hong-seng, Daniel, Chief Innovation and Enterprise Officer in the Office of Strategic Developments, has been reappointed as Associate Vice-President (Innovation and Enterprise) for a further period of three years with effect from 27 May 2022.
