Beijing central media organisations visit School of Journalism and Communication

On 9 April, CUHK’s School of Journalism and Communication welcomed a delegation of editors from Beijing-based central media organisations during their visit to Hong Kong. Organised by the Central Government’s Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office, the visit aimed to enhance exchange and cooperation between the School and leading news organisations from the Chinese Mainland, particularly in the areas of student internships and professional training.
During the visit, the School’s director, Professor Liang Hai, introduced its academic vision, curriculum design and long-standing commitment to integrating theoretical foundations with professional practice. This was followed by an interactive sharing session involving faculty members and students who had previously taken part in the Mainland internship programme coordinated by the Journalism Education Foundation. The delegation was subsequently given a guided tour of the School’s professional teaching and production facilities.
This visit facilitated exchange and mutual understanding between the two sides, further strengthened the School’s collaborative relationship with central media organisations and laid a solid foundation for the continued development of student internships and exchange activities.
