Faculty of Education marks 60 years of excellence

CUHK’s Faculty of Education has hosted an array of events to showcase its leadership, innovation and academic achievements to mark its diamond jubilee.

The 60th anniversary banquet, held at The Langham Hong Kong on 22 November, brought together 300 people including past and present faculty members, alumni, students and friends and featured a series of performances.

In his speech, Professor Fan Xitao, Dean of Education (fifth from left, above) said: “As we celebrate this milestone, I am reminded of the many stories of perseverance, passion, and purpose that have defined our Faculty’s journey. These stories are the heartbeats of our Faculty, and they continue to inspire us as we move forward.”

The 3rd Guangdong-Honkong-Macau Conference: STEAM education in the age of AI

The other events marking the Faculty’s 60th anniversary gathered educators, researchers, students and community partners to exchange insights, explore innovative ideas and honour the Faculty’s role in advancing education locally and globally. A dedicated 60th Anniversary e-newsletter was launched in May, collecting and sharing stories of faculty members and students from different generations. Adding a creative touch, a logo design competition was also held to engage the community’s talents.
