Seven CUHK scholars named RGC Senior Research Fellows or Research Fellows

Seven scholars from CUHK have received awards from the Research Grants Council (RGC) Senior Research Fellow Scheme (SRFS) and Research Fellow Scheme (RFS) 2025/26, in recognition of their distinguished research achievements.

The fellows will receive a grant of about HK$8.2 million for each SRFS award and HK$5.5 million for each RFS award to cover salary costs for relief teachers and support for research projects over a period of 60 months.

CUHK’s Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Sham Mai-har said: “This accolade not only recognises our scholars’ outstanding research contributions but also demonstrates the breadth and depth of the University’s research excellence spanning both scientific and humanities disciplines. We look forward to seeing our scholars continue to make groundbreaking discoveries in their respective fields and transformative contributions to the advancement of human knowledge.”
