30 CUHK accessible web pages and apps win awards

28 May 2025

CUHK has received 30 awards at the Digital Accessibility Recognition Scheme 2024-2025, including 11 Triple Gold Awards, 12 Gold Awards, 3 Silver Awards and 4 Elderly-friendly Awards.

The scheme was organised by Hong Kong Internet Registration Corporation Limited (HKIRC) and co-organised by the Digital Policy Office, with the Equal Opportunities Commission serving as the independent adviser, to recognise organisations that have demonstrated outstanding efforts in facilitating access to their websites and mobile applications.

Gold awardees must meet over 20 criteria, including high compatibility with assistive technologies, colour contrast for text and images, font size options and the use of sign language to address the needs of all users, including people with disabilities and the elderly. The Triple Gold Award recognises projects that have attained the Gold Award for three consecutive scheme years.
