9 September 2025

The CUHK Rowing Team has emerged victorious at the 2025 Hong Kong Universities Rowing Championships. Not only did they once again come out on top in both the men’s and the women’s groups, but they also won the overall championship for a record 24th time.

Eight local higher-education institutions participated in the championship this year, held from 23 to 24 August on the Shing Mun River in Shatin. CUHK was represented by 42 team members who participated in ten different events, and ultimately won 13 medals: five champions, seven first runner-ups, and one second runner-up. Associate Vice-President (Student Experience) and University Dean of Students Professor Ko Wing-hung was there to cheer on the athletes and host the awards ceremony, bearing witness to their excellence.
