CUHK students join Jockey Club Scholars Welcome Day

30 June 2025

Three CUHK students who are newly awarded The Hong Kong Jockey Club Undergraduate Scholarship took part in the JC Scholars Welcome Day on 9 May, marking a meaningful start of their journey with a unique opportunity to grow and develop their social network.

The Welcome Day, held at the Jockey Club Headquarters, was part of the induction programme designed to enhance JC Scholars’ self-awareness and introduce them to the Club’s mission and philanthropic initiatives through sharing sessions and networking activities.

The JC Scholars from CUHK attending the event included Chan Ching-yin (Urban Studies) (far right), Jasmine Ho Man-hei (Medicine (MBChB) Programme Global Physician-Leadership Stream) (second from left), and Lee Cheuk-wing (Global Business Studies) (far left). They were welcomed by Winnie Ying, the Club’s Head of Charities (Youth Development & Poverty Alleviation; and Talent & Sector Development) (second from right).

Established in 1998, The Hong Kong Jockey Club Scholarships are dedicated to nurturing talent for a better Hong Kong. Over the past 26 years, more than 1,160 young people have been awarded the scholarships to pursue their studies.
